Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Wardha organized a comprehensive campaign on Balanced Fertilization from 20.04.2026 at  Wardha, Hinganghat, Arvi, Deoli block of Wardha district, The initiative was conducted as part of the Intensive Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilizers launched by ICAR, New Delhi. The campaign focused on promoting sustainable nutrient management practices. Farmers were sensitized about the importance of soil test-based balanced fertilization As many farmers had not conducted soil testing, the importance of soil analysis and the procedure for getting it done were explained in detail. The programme also highlighted the role of crop diversification, emphasizing the need to avoid continuous rice cultivation and instead integrate crops such as pulses, green manure crops, and other suitable alternatives to improve soil fertility. The importance of integrated nutrient management through the use of organic manures, green manures, composting, and bio fertilizers was discussed. Seed treatment techniques using biofertilizers were also demonstrated, along with guidance on the correct method of fertilizer application.
